We recently had our Generac generator second year service completed. There was a small oil leak around a hose connection found during the service process by the technician from Deer Creek Electric. All fixed now and ready to run till next service date fall of 2026. we have our generator on an annual service contract so it is always ready when we need it.

My unit wouldn’t run it’s weekly test. Didn’t have to wait long for Brian to come and replace the unit’s battery charger and fix the fuse holder. My unit is a dinosaur and I appreciate his willingness to keep it going and not pressuring to install a new unit. When the time comes though, he’ll be contacted.

Hello, I want to tell everyone that I highly recommend Deer Creek Electric for a Generac generator unit installation and service. When Brian came to show us his presentation, I was highly impressed with his thorough explanation and knowledge of Generac equipment. I was also impressed to know of his extensive parts warehouse to be able to respond with any parts that might be needed for service or repair. Also, any time I call Deer Creek all of the employees respond with a friendly attitude and are very professional! Any time I had a need for them to respond to solve an issue, they have always gone above and beyond to resolve the issue.

I live in an area which unfortunately has many power outages. Recently, our generator shut off during a power outage caused by a failed oil hose clamp. Deer Creek Electric came out to repair the hose and cleaned up the generator. A few weeks later, we had another power outage and discovered that we had another oil clamp failure. At this time, Brian, the owner of Deer Creek Electric, came out to investigate the problem. He checked the oil pressure and found it to be excessively high. This led him to check the compression on both cylinders where he discovered an unusual variation. He contacted Generac and discussed the situation. Brian and Generac both agreed that the engine needed to be replaced. Brian immediately ordered a new engine and repaired my generator to a temporary working condition. He also informed me that due to the inconveniences without power, he was going to ask Generac to extend my warranty. The engine arrived, was replaced and an extensive cleanup was performed. To my surprise, the warranty was extended. I thought this gesture was beyond my expectation. I am truly thankful that I went with Deer Creek Electric.

Had multiple long (+2 hours) power outages in a year. Last night with new all house generator installed by Deer Creek, lost power. About a 2.5 to 3 second delay and it fired up. Everyone else around was dark. After everything restarted, I was watching the history channel and opening my refrigerator (because I can). Wonderful investment! Worked perfectly.

Our 10kw generator recently stopped operating. I had another company come out to look at it and they provided me with two options, either buy a new one (which they of course had in stock and could install immediately for $8,500), or replace the engine for $3,500. Wanting a second opinion, I called Deer Creek to come look at it and they determined the engine could be fixed for about $1,300. They could’ve fed me the same line as the original company, but they didn’t. I greatly appreciated their honest assessment. Everyone I worked with was professional and I would absolutely use them again.

My family and I live in an area that experiences frequent power outages throughout the year, so we decided to have a whole house generator installed. We researched dealers/installers in and around our area and decided to go with Deer Creek Electric (DCE). Choosing DCE was one of the best decisions we made during this adventure. The entire process from beginning to end was extremely easy and completely stress free.

The owner of Deer Creek Electric, Mr. Samples, came to our home for a consultation and listened to our wants and needs for a whole house generator. He was completely professional, not pushy by any stretch, and didn’t try to sell us on more expensive units we didn’t need. He explained which units would be most beneficial for what we wanted the generator to run should we lose power. In addition, he was extremely patient, answered all of our questions and concerns, and walked us through the entire process from beginning to end. By the time he left our home, we had already decided on a unit and ready to schedule the installation.

I received three estimates to have a Generac 20 kw whole house generator installed at my home in New Oxford, PA approximately one year ago. Brian Samples, the owner of this company, inspected my house and presented me with an estimate that was dramatically more detailed and professional than either of the other two companies. Plus, his price was a few hundred dollars lower. I checked his references and agreed to the work. A month or two later, Jamie and his crew arrived and completed the installation in a very timely and efficient manner. The final price was exactly as shown on the estimate. Since then, the electricity in our neighborhood has failed twice, for a few hours each time. In each case, the generator kicked in and operated exactly as it was supposed to. Brian and Jamie addressed the few maintenance concerns that I’ve had with the equipment very quickly. I am truly impressed with this company and recommend them highly if you’re looking for a whole house generator.

I had an unfortunate issue that was an emergency situation. I needed immediate service and could not wait at some major damage and Brian and his crew stepped up to the plate and hit a home run with the massive damage I had. Deer Creek Electric has been servicing our Generac generator for several years. Always on schedule with professional staff. Recently, we needed several “general” electric jobs completed at the house. Keith came down on a Saturday and spent several hours (with me hovering) completing each job. Can’t say how much we appreciate his attention to detail the high quality of his work and of course a pleasant conversation as he went through each job. On Sunday, December 16, 2007 my outside electric service sustained serious damage due to an ice storm & fallen tree. I immediately placed a call to “Deer Creek Electric” (at 4 a.m.) & left a message for Brian Samples describing the damage. Upon responding to my call, Brian arrived at my home by mid-morning to begin repairs. Under very difficult conditions, by mid-afternoon Brian had my electric service repaired & connected my service on a temporary basis so I maintained power until met-ed arrived two days later to restore their damaged facilities.
