I live in an area which unfortunately has many power outages. Recently, our generator shut off during a power outage caused by a failed oil hose clamp. Deer Creek Electric came out to repair the hose and cleaned up the generator. A few weeks later, we had another power outage and discovered that we had another oil clamp failure. At this time, Brian, the owner of Deer Creek Electric, came out to investigate the problem. He checked the oil pressure and found it to be excessively high. This led him to check the compression on both cylinders where he discovered an unusual variation. He contacted Generac and discussed the situation. Brian and Generac both agreed that the engine needed to be replaced. Brian immediately ordered a new engine and repaired my generator to a temporary working condition. He also informed me that due to the inconveniences without power, he was going to ask Generac to extend my warranty. The engine arrived, was replaced and an extensive cleanup was performed. To my surprise, the warranty was extended. I thought this gesture was beyond my expectation. I am truly thankful that I went with Deer Creek Electric.
